Learn about our services

  • Acupuncture is the placement of needles at specific energy centers in the body known as acupuncture points. Accessing these points allows the body to heal naturally and holistically.

  • Involves the insertion of needles directly into a muscle in order to release trigger points and relieve pain.

  • Electroacupuncture (also known as “e-stim”) is when acupuncture needles are stimulated with an electrical current to decrease pain, improve circulation, and regulate the nervous system.

  • This is a therapeutic technique in which the dried herb artemesiae vulgaris (mugwort or Chinese Wormwood) is burned on or near the body, usually at acupuncture points to reduce swelling, decrease pain, and strengthen the immune system.

  • Trained in Classical Chinese herbalism, we provide custom herbal formulations in house. Herbs can be used as a stand alone treatment or as a powerful combination with acupuncture.

  • Chinese Medicine is lifestyle medicine. Your acupuncturist may recommend certain changes to your diet and/or lifestyle to enhance results or complement your acupuncture treatments.

  • Gua Sha is a technique of scratching or scraping the skin with a smooth edged instrument to treat pain and muscle fatigue.

  • Loved by athletes and weekend warriors, cupping involves the use of plastic or glass cups to create a negative pressure on tight muscle tissue. Benefits include decreased pain, improved circulation and increased range of motion.

  • Low Level Light Therapy (LLLT) can be used to safely and gently stimulate acupuncture points in children and those with needle phobia. We may also utilize infrared light therapy to reduce inflammation, stimulate metabolism, or improve healing in our adult and teen patients.

  • Tuina is a form of Chinese medical massage used to improve circulation, relieve muscle tightness/pain and improve overall health.

  • Medical Qi Gong is the practice of directing breath through movement and intention. Qi Gong may be prescribed as part of a diet & lifestyle recommendation to complement your acupuncture/herbal treatment and contribute to your overall wellbeing.

  • The ears are considered a microsystem in Chinese Medicine. This means that any part of the body can be treated by stimulating a corresponding acupuncture point on the ear.

  • Shonishin is a needle-free Japanese technique using special tools for gently tapping and brushing along the skin to stimulate acupuncture points. This is best for infants and children under the age of 2 years old.

Let’s start your journey back to balance and wellness. When the individual thrives, the whole “family” flourishes.
