Nico
“I had always known that I wanted to contribute to the well-being of others.”
I first moved to Asheville in 2009 and worked as a psychiatric pharmacist for 12 years at the VA Hospital and Mission Hospital. Having become disenchanted with the healthcare system and feeling stuck in all phases of my life, I found acupuncture and herbal medicine. I soon learned that a remarkable thing happens when lying on an acupuncture table with needles inserted - you become connected. With a renewed sense of purpose, I moved to Colorado to study Traditional Chinese Medicine. I’m grateful to return to Asheville to share this medicine with others who may feel stuck or disconnected in their lives, or those who simply need some space to heal.

“Chinese Medicine has changed my life more than words can express.”
I found Chinese Medicine in my early 30’s while looking to fill the gaps left by Western Medicine. The effects of acupuncture and herbs were so profound that I set out on my journey to learn this medicine and share it with others. I studied classical Chinese Medicine in Asheville under the lineage of Master Jeffrey Yuen, one of the most sought-after teachers of Chinese Medicine throughout the world. After graduation, I found myself in Colorado working at Denver’s premier Eastern Medicine clinic for kids and families. It was here that I honed my skills and dove deeper into post-graduate studies in pediatrics, gynecology and gastroenterology. I’m thrilled to bring my experience back to Asheville with openness and love, and to contribute to this community.
